L. E. Phillips Senior Center

FAQ

How do I join?

You can join online here or stop in to the L.E. Phillips Senior Center between 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

How is the L. E. Phillips Senior Center funded? Are you part of the city or county government?

We are an independent 501 C 3 non-profit.

The center is funded three ways:

  1. Membership - Our most important source of revenue is YOU! We are thankful that you have invested in the center, and most importantly in your health and actively aging.
  2. Grants, Donations & Special Events - Our annual Friends of the L.E. Phillips Senior Center campaign and special events such as the Water Street Mile help to balance the budget and keep membership fees as low as possible. Each year the staff submits grants to enhance programs at the center and help offset staff costs. Grants are not a guaranteed source of income, but we are very thankful when we receive them.
  3. City & County - Although we are an independent 501 C 3, we are very grateful to receive yearly funding from the county and city to help keep our memberships affordable.

What is your Winter Closing Policy?

If Eau Claire School District closes or goes to vitual learning, the Center will be closed.  If schools are delayed 2 hours, check lep-sc.org website or Facebook for up-to-date information.  Closings will be listed on the Center's Website, Facebook, or local TV stations for the most up-to-date information.
